The Bridge At Calhoun will be a vibrant mixed-use hub consisting of three buildings on the corner of the Bridge and Calhoun Streets in Bluffton, SC, ideally situated between the Promenade and the Calhoun Street public dock on the beautiful May River.

Designed by Pearce Scott Architects, the approximately 17,000 square foot project will feature four restaurants (Pizza Co., Taco Bills, Bank Burgers, and Benjamin’s), an extraordinary beer garden, a brewery (Side Hustle Beer Co.), and a host of other amenities for the entire family.

  • Successful projects start with a clear vision and aligned expectations for all stakeholders. Clarity between owner/operator, architect, and builder around vision, cost, and process is paramount to a smooth and collaborative build experience.

    While typical bid projects often involve an iterative and costly start/stop formula whereby architects and contractors work in their respective silos (design – price – redesign – reprice – redesign – reprice… etc.), we advocate for a proactive team approach for optimal efficiency and outcomes.

    Through a Preconstruction Service Agreement, we draw on our team’s considerable experience, relationships, and resources to work alongside the architect to afford the owner with real time estimating and constructability solutions. The result is a set of plans you can be proud of and a high degree of certainty around the cost and time to construct.

  • For those seeking a seamless turnkey experience, Shoreline offers full Design Build services where we engage as early as site evaluation to determine feasibility and logistics relative to a given property.

    If project vision and budget align with the property’s capacity, we then employ a highly proactive process in which Shoreline identifies, engages, and coordinates surveyors, civil engineers, project appropriate architects, landscape architects, and structural engineers.

    Shoreline’s principal aim during a Design Build agreement is to create a fundamentally different client experience – one in which the owner/operator enjoys the peace of mind knowing that there is a unified team working in concert with one another to achieve a common objective.

    This Design Build service also includes preconstruction (real time) estimating services and ultimately dovetails into our Construction Management service.
